Where We Operate
Head office and primary workshops are located in New Plymouth, on the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand. Fitzroy Engineering also has a project design office in Auckland, a workshop in Taupo and a marketing office in Melbourne. We have recently acquired an existing Brisbane based project management and construction business in order to better service the existing Australian client base and to offer our capabilites to the Australian resources industries.
NEW PLYMOUTH
Set in the heart of Taranaki, New Plymouth is New Zealand’s primary energy and dairy production area and is recognised as the centre of heavy engineering excellence.
The New Plymouth airport is a short drive from Fitzroy Engineering’s head office. Within 45 minutes it is possible to reach a number of New Zealand’s major cities including Auckland and Wellington through regular, direct flights. New Plymouth also has a direct rail link with the North Island main trunk line.
Taupo
The central North Island is the home of the geothermal exploration and power generation industries. In co-operation with Geothermal Services, Fitzroy Engineering has established a machine shop in Taupo for the repair of well drilling pipe and associated tooling, well casing pipe and well drilling equipment. This facility is operated under the control of our Fitzroy Engineering Group Precision Machining division.
